Our Mission

 My name is Janice Owens, I am elated to say "I AM DEBT FREE" as of January 2023. My journey to Financial Freedom started when I attended a Financial Workshop led by Mrs. Nadia Patterson at our church in 2022 "Discovering Financial Freedom". I wanted to be on the positive side of Proverbs 22:7. I jumped at the chance to attend this Financial Workshop so I could come from under the burden of approximately $100,000 in debt as a single woman.  I stood in faith on the Word of God and walked out the principles learned in the Workshop and became financially free. 

Mrs. Patterson's genuine love for God's people to experience freedom changed my life and perspective regarding money forever. I will always be thankful for her presence in my life.  Some of the phrases that stuck with me from the class were "You deserve to be free mentally and emotionally", "Tell your money what to do, don't let your money tell YOU what to do and most importantly "change the way you think about money."

One of my goals I listed in the financial workshop was to become a 1st time homeowner.  So, I started my journey by FAITH and started saving. I shared it with Mrs. Patterson when I was ready to start house shopping. She was with me every step of the way and now I can say a year and half later after becoming debt free. I became a first-time homeowner in November 2024.  Two months after becoming a homeowner-the Workshop was offered again in January 2025 & I again jumped at the opportunity to learn more because my financial picture is different now as I am now investing and building my wealth as a single woman. Taking "Discovering Financial Freedom Workshops" has changed my life exponentially.
